-
When at all possible, we will be traveling on local transit outside busy hours. However, neurodivergent travelers should be aware that Tokyo locals will cram tightly into metro cars or elevators. -
Those with sensitivity to bright/flashing lights should also be aware that Tokyo can be VERY intense in this regard. Be sure that you bring medications (in original bottle, with prescription information) for this if necessary.
-
This adventure includes a visit to a traditional Japanese onsen. Facilities require all guests to be fully nude when entering the pools. They are typically separated by gender, but we understand some might find this to be uncomfortable, especially trans and non-binary folks. We have therefore included accommodations with an in-room onsen or the ability to book time for our group only.
-
We understand that some might have heard about tattoo discrimination in Japan. While we cannot control the opinions of others, we have additionally made sure that all onsen facilities are friendly to those with body art.
